Introducing KRIS

This super-handsome guy is called Kris. (So nice on his black and white tuxedo!)

His stage name is "Kris" and I guess it has no relation with his real name. (Or Kris may be the name used when he was in Canada... I just guessed lol don't bother)

He is called the "galaxy" by many fans after he used that word frequently during the TV program "EXO's Showtime".

He was born in China but immigrated to Canada when he was about 9 years old. Now, his nationality is Canada. His real Chinese name is 吳亦凡, which is read "Wu Yifan" according to the Chinese Pinyin system.

Personally, I don't know much about how Chinese people make their names nor the rules encoded in them. Therefore, I will just briefly introduce some meanings each Chinese character of his name has as far as I know. Chinese and Korean share many characters that have similar meanings between the two languages.
One thing I certain is that 吳 which is read "Wu" is his family name
and 亦凡 which is read "Yifan" is his given name.

First, 吳(wú) means "the name of a country once existed in the old Chinese history or to shout out loud" as far as I know as a Korean. I don't know what meaning does that character have in actual Chinese language but I guess that character is commonly used as a family name in China. In general, if a letter is used as a family name, usually it contains null meaning.

Second, 亦(yì) means "also" and 凡(fán) means "ordinary or general" though I'm not sure those mean exactly the same with real Chinese language.

Well, it is quite hard for me to understand the meaning included in his name though.

The boy holding his glorious certificate is called Luhan. (Did you guys know that the certificate was given to him as the title of "Guinness World Records for having the 'Most Comments on a Weibo Post'"? So amazing isn't it?)

His stage name "Luhan" is exactly the same with his real name.

He is called a "deer" by many fans because his real name exactly means "deer" and also his innocent and pure face resemble those of deer.

The panda guy looking over his cell phone is called Tao.

His stage name is "Tao" and it is from his real name "Huang Zitao"

He is widely called "panda" because of his big and attractive eyes which resembles those of pandas. Also it is because of his cute and sweet personalities.
