Introducing SEHUN

The boy who is adoring(?) his precious bicycle is called Sehun. (His hair color is always various and it was peak when he dyed his hair with rainbow colors during the WOLF. lol.)

His stage name is "Sehun" which is exactly same with his given name.

Quite many fans call him "Hin Dung Yi" which might mean "the white little thing" and is specially used to name a puppy with white fur. It is also the name of a puppy that appears in the animation "Crayon shinchan"(of Korean version. It is called "Shiro" in the original Japanese version). Anyway, that's because he has very light and clean skin. 

Actually his real Korean name is 오세훈, which may be romanized as "Oh Sehun".

Unlike other western countries, in Korea, a person's name consists of family name and given name where family name comes first and given name comes last.
That means is his family name is "Oh"
and is his given name is "Sehun".

So you can call him "Oh Sehun" or just "Sehun" which is his given name or stage name.

Anyway, it would be unfamiliar with you guys but a person's name in Korea is usually comprised of three Chinese characters. One for family name and the other two for given name. Certainly, that borrowed Chinese characters are read differently in Korea's own phonological way.

One thing to focus on here is that there is special meaning to each Chinese character and of course each name has their own meaning.

Chen's name in Chinese character is written as 吳世勳

Each Chinese character is read 吳(oh)/世(se)勳(hun) in Korea's own phonological system. That means Chinese people will read these characters differently to Korean people.

Now, lets briefly explain the meaning included in his real Korean name.

First, 吳(oh) which is his family name means "to shout out loudly". But one thing you should know is that people usually don't give any substantial meaning to their first name although there exists its own corresponding meaning. That means although the Chinese character written above means "to shout out loudly" in normal conversation, his family name itself has no relation to shouting or something. It is just borrowed for the sound only.

Second, 世(se) which is the first letter of his given name means "the world" 
and finally, 勳(hun) which is the second letter of his given name means "contribution or achievement".

Therefore, when combining both there comes "contribution or achievement to the world".
I guess it is a really gracious name :)

Anyway, that was for his name. It was quite long :)

Now let's move on to his birth date.

He was born on 12 April 1994. The year 1994 was "the Year of Dog" according to the Chinese zodiac sign system.
And his constellation sign is Aries.

He has both parents and one older brother in his family members.

His height is known to be 181cm. But many fans including me have a strong speculation that he is growing fast even now in his 20s. I think his height would be higher than his given official information.

He is in the role of leading dancer and sub rapper in the team (Actually his dancing competence is the best among the group including Kai or Lay).

Personally the first impression I had when I first saw Sehun was "He is really handsome and cute but somewhat chic or cool". Although it is somewhat true that he has some kind of manly personalities he is actually very charming, warmhearted and good at mischievous and cute behaviors. He has both aspects of a man and a boy and I really love that :)
