Introducing BAEKHYEON

This seemingly puppy-looking boy is called Baekhyeon. 

His stage name is 'Baekhyeon" which is exactly same with his given name.

Many fans call him a "Beagle" because of his active and bright personalities. Also, some would call him "Baek meong mung". "Baek" is his the first syllable of his given name and "meong mung" indicates a puppy in more cute nuance.

Actually his real Korean name is 변백현, which may be romanized as "Byeon Baekhyeon".

Unlike other western countries, in Korea, a person's name consists of family name and given name where family name comes first and given name comes last.
That means is his family name is "Byeon"
and is his given name is "Baekhyeon".

So you can call him "Byeon Baekhyeon" or just "Baekhyeon" which is his given name or stage name.

Anyway, it would be unfamiliar with you guys but a person's name in Korea is usually comprised of three Chinese characters. One for family name and the other two for given name. Certainly, that borrowed Chinese characters are read differently in Korea's own phonological way.

One thing to focus on here is that there is special meaning to each Chinese character and of course each name has their own meaning.

Each Chinese character is read 邊(byeon)/伯(baek)賢(hyeon) in Korea's own phonological system. That means Chinese people will read these characters differently to Korean people.

Now, lets briefly explain the meaning included in his real Korean name.

First, 邊(byeon) which is his family name means "edge or border". But one thing you should know is that people usually don't give any substantial meaning to their first name although there exists its own corresponding meaning. That means although the Chinese character written above means "edge or border" in normal conversation, his family name itself has no relation to edge or something. It is just borrowed for the sound only.

Second, 伯(baek) which is the first letter of his given name means "leader or superb"

and finally, 賢(hyeon) which is the second letter of his given name means "wise".

Therefore, when combining both there comes "superb and wise" or "wise leader".

Anyway, that was for his name. It was quite long :)

Now let's move on to his birth date.

He was born on 6 May 1992. The year 1992 was "the Year of Monkey" according to the Chinese zodiac sign system.
And his constellation sign is Taurus.

He has both parents and one older brother in his family members.

His height and weight is not revealed officially but I guess his height is just average of those of members in EXO.

He is in the role of main vocal in the team (Actually he has a very nice voice and is also competent in singing).

Personally, the first impression I had when I first saw Baekhyeon was "He is so cute and resembles a puppy".
And his every single charming behaviors and talks made him to be more cute to me :)
Anyway, I guess he has somewhat manly personalities behind his cute face lol.
