Introducing LAY

The boy wearing his white apron is called Lay.

His stage name is "Lay" and I guess it has no relation with his real name.

Many fans call him the "healing angel" not only because his superpower is healing but also he has calm and mild personalities.

He is from China and his real Chinese name is 张艺兴, which is read "Zhang Yixing" according to the Chinese Pinyin system.

Personally, I don't know much about how Chinese people make their names nor the rules encoded in them. Therefore, I will just briefly introduce some meanings each Chinese character of his name has as far as I know. Chinese and Korean share many characters that have similar meanings between the two languages.
One thing I certain is that 张 which is read "Zhang" is his family name
and 艺兴 which is read "Yixing" is his given name.

First, 张(zhāng) means "to do a favor" as far as I know as a Korean. I don't know what meaning does that character have in actual Chinese language but I guess that character is commonly used as a family name in China. In general, if a letter is used as a family name, usually it contains null meaning.

Second, 艺(yì) means "talent or skill" and 兴(xīng) means "joy" though I'm not sure those mean exactly the same with real Chinese language.

Well, it seems that when combining both letters there comes "talent which makes joy".

I think that meaning correlates with his personalities I mentioned above :)

Now let's move on to his birth date.

He was born on 7 October 1991. The year 1991 was "the Year of Sheep" according to the Chinese zodiac sign system.
And his constellation sign is Libra.

He has both parents but no sibling.

His height and weight is not revealed officially but I guess his height is just average of those of members in EXO.

He is in the role of sub vocal and main dancer (Actually he is very talented at dancing, if there is Kai in group K, there is Lay in group M).

Personally, the first impression I had when I first saw Lay was "He has really peaceful eyes and face".
His dimple appears to be so attractive when he smiles and his calm smile makes me be pacified lol.
Anyway, it would be quite natural to think of "healing" when watching at Lay, also needless to say his given superpower is the power of healing.
